Thriving Minds Montessori is a bilingual Montessori learning community in Puyallup serving children ages 2.5 to 10.
Our environment is built on respect for the child, independence, and hands on learning. Children work in calm, prepared spaces where they explore materials, build projects, practice real life skills, and develop confidence in their abilities.
Spanish is naturally woven into daily classroom routines, conversation, songs, and lessons. Children do not need to speak Spanish before enrolling.
Our mixed-age environment allows younger children to observe and grow while older children develop leadership, responsibility, and deeper understanding.
Our goal is not only academic learning. We help children become capable, curious, and confident learners.
Families from Puyallup, South Hill, Bonney Lake, Sumner, Graham, and surrounding communities choose Thriving Minds Montessori for its calm environment, hands-on learning, and respectful approach to childhood.
Thriving Minds Montessori is a bilingual Montessori learning community where children hear and use both English and Spanish naturally throughout the day. Spanish is not taught as a separate class. It is woven into conversation, songs, lessons, and daily classroom routines, and children do not need to speak Spanish before enrolling.
Our programs follow Montessori principles where children learn by doing. Instead of relying only on worksheets or lectures, children explore materials, build projects, practice real life skills, and collaborate with peers in calm and respectful learning spaces.
Primary Montessori Program (Ages 2.5–6)
Our Primary program is a mixed age Montessori classroom where children develop early reading, writing, math, social skills, and independence through hands-on materials and meaningful work.
Children explore practical life activities, language, mathematics, art, culture, and science while building confidence and responsibility.

Bilingual Montessori Homeschool Program (Ages 6–10)
This program is designed for homeschooling families who want their children to have a supportive learning community, academic guidance, and hands on Montessori experiences within a bilingual environment.
Parents remain the primary educators at home while children participate in guided learning, collaborative projects, and social connection during program hours.
Children may work on reading, writing, math, science, geography, history, art, and long term projects while developing independence and responsibility.
Classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Thriving Minds Montessori Summer Lab
Our summer program gives children the joy of summer while staying connected to learning through hands on exploration, creativity, and discovery.
Each year we introduce new themes and projects that encourage curiosity, teamwork, and deep engagement.
Children enjoy a balance of Montessori activities, STEAM projects, outdoor movement, and creative exploration in a bilingual learning environment.
Families may enroll for individual sessions or multiple weeks depending on availability.
Hi, I’m Claudia Beck, founder of Thriving Minds Montessori.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working with children and families, and I created Thriving Minds Montessori to provide a calm, respectful learning environment where children can develop independence, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.
One of the core ideas that guides our classroom is the Montessori principle of following the child. Every child develops at their own pace, with their own interests, strengths, and challenges. Instead of forcing children into a rigid structure, we observe carefully and guide them toward work that supports their growth and curiosity.
Our classroom blends Montessori philosophy with hands on exploration, mixed age collaboration, and a bilingual environment where children hear and use both English and Spanish naturally throughout the day.
Many families also recognize me from my online videos where I share Montessori insights, parenting tools, and classroom ideas with parents around the world. But the heart of my work is here in the classroom, guiding children as they grow into capable, curious, and confident learners.
Thriving Minds Montessori is designed for families who value a calm, respectful learning environment where children are encouraged to grow at their own pace.
Our classroom follows the Montessori principle of respecting and following the child, which means we observe carefully and guide children toward work that supports their development, curiosity, and independence.
Families who thrive in our community often appreciate:
• smaller learning environments
• hands on Montessori learning
• bilingual exposure in English and Spanish
• mixed age collaboration and leadership
• calm classrooms that support focus and independence
If this approach resonates with your family, we would love to meet you and show you the classroom.
The best way to learn if Thriving Minds Montessori is the right fit for your child is to visit the classroom and meet Ms. Claudia.
If you have questions about our programs or would like to schedule a tour, please send us a message. We look forward to connecting with you and learning more about your child.
